BRAC Bank Credit Card Holders Eligible for Internet Banking Self-Enrollment

BRAC Bank announced that it would allow self-registration for its online banking service also using credit cards. Previously, the registration process was only open to bank debit card holders, the bank said in a press release.

BRAC Bank customers can now take advantage of the Bank’s Internet Banking service by visiting and complete the self-registration process by following a few simple steps within minutes using their debit and credit cards.

Commenting on this new feature, BRAC Bank Managing Director and CEO Selim RF Hussain said, “BRAC Bank is at the forefront of digital banking solutions and we want all of our customers to be able to use digital options. We believe that our Internet Banking service allows customers to bring 24/7 banking service to their homes.

The BRAC Bank Internet Banking service allows its customers to manage their accounts and cards and perform real-time fund transfers to mobile accounts and wallets, pay card bills, utility bills, mobile phone bills, insurance bills, etc.

With two-factor authentication via SMS and email verification, BRAC Bank’s Internet Banking service is equipped with advanced security features to ensure the safety and greater convenience of its customers.

Hussain also said, “We have always considered the safety and benefits of our valued customers throughout the COVID-19 situation and that is part of it. We promise to bring more innovative banking solutions as part of our digital transformation journey and to help our clients bank with us anytime, anywhere.

For self-registration, a customer will be required to provide their active 16-digit debit or credit card number, card PIN, and a registered mobile phone number. The PIN code is used as an access code for the customer’s self-registration and the bank does not store the PIN code anywhere in its banking system, he says in the statement.
