  • Users can also make online deposits from a savings bank account to a Recurring Deposit (RD) account and a Post Office Public Provident Fund (PPF) account through its online banking services.
  • POSB account holders can even transact, open and close RD account and fixed deposit (FD) accounts through India Post online banking service.
  • Users can also schedule a funds transfer once by selecting “One Time” frequency type and multiple times by selecting “Recurring” frequency type for PO savings bank accounts only.
  • Here are the steps to register and activate the India Post online banking service:

    Step 1:

    Visit the home branch and complete the pre-printed application form

    2nd step: Now submit the application form with the required documents

    Step 3: After processing, an SMS alert will be sent to the registered mobile number

    Step 4: Now open the Internet Banking page using the URL mentioned in the SMS and use the hyperlink ‘New User Activation’

    Step 5: Fill in the necessary details and set up Internet Banking Login Password and Transaction Password

    Step 6: Log in now and configure the security questions and answers with the passphrase. The passphrase is a security add-on feature that confirms that the customer is connecting to the DOP’s authentic Internet banking URL.
