NAB says a major outage to its online banking services that affected thousands of customers has been resolved.
Customers began experiencing issues around 3:15 p.m. AEST on Saturday, according to outage monitoring website Down Detector.
“Connection failed,” reads a message on the bank app. “We are struggling to connect. Give it a minute and start over.

It was later updated: “We’re sorry, the app isn’t working at the moment. We’ll get it back up and running as soon as possible.”
One person tweeted: “How are you supposed to access/transfer money on weekends?”
In response to another customer on Twitter, NAB wrote, “We are currently experiencing a connection outage to the NAB Mobile Banking App and it has already been escalated to our technology team with great emphasis.”
A NAB spokesperson confirmed to 7NEWS.com.au that they were “experiencing issues with internet banking“.
“We are sorry for the inconvenience this is causing our customers,” the spokesperson said.
“Our ATMs, telephone banking, Apple Pay and cards are working normally. Our teams are working hard to resolve this issue as quickly as possible, and we will continue to keep customers informed. »
Just after 7 p.m., the spokesperson confirmed that all internet banking was back online.
