- Then dial 1800 112 211 from your registered phone number
- Once the call is connected, you will need to select the options provided by IVRS
- Select the option that says āblock debit cardā
- In the next step, you will be asked to enter the last 5 digits of your bank account
- Once blocked, a confirmation will be sent to you by SMS.
Block SBI Debit Card via SMS

- Send āBLOCK

- Log in to the app using your registered email address or phone number
- Now scroll to the bottom of the app and under āQuick Linksā you will find āService Requestā. Select it.
- On the next screen, select āATM/Debit Cardā. It will ask you to enter your internet banking profile password.
- Once entered, you will need to select āblock cardā on the next screen
- For verification, it will send an OTP via SMS. Enter the OTP and press āSubmitā
Block SBI debit card by netbanking
If you have your SBI online banking setup, this method is also quite simple. Hereās how to block your debit card via net banking.
- Go to SBI net banking official website here and login with your registered email address and password
- Once logged in, under āE-servicesā, you will find the option āBlock ATM cardā. Select it.
- Now on the next screen, select the bank account number whose debit card you want to block.
- It will ask you to choose the blocking reason from the drop-down menu.
- Then for verification you will have to enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number via SMS
- Enter the OTP and click āConfirmā to block your SBI debit card. A ticket number will also be generated upon confirmation.
