The State Bank of India said its online banking, YONO, YONO Lite and UPI will not work for two hours on June 17. The lender said this was due to maintenance work scheduled for Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.
“We will undertake maintenance activities between 12:30 am and 2:30 am on 06/17/2021. During this period, online banking / YONO / YONO Lite / UPI will be unavailable,” the bank said. “We ask our valued customers to stay with us as we strive to provide a better banking experience,” he said.
The bank’s online services were affected for four hours recently on June 13. Online banking, YONO, YONO Lite and UPI were also affected for a few hours on May 21 and 23 due to maintenance activities.
SBI is the country’s largest lender with more than 85 million internet banking services and 19 million mobile banking users. YONO has 34.5 million registered users and receives 9 million connections every day.
The lender’s notification comes after HDFC Bank’s mobile banking app was suspended for a while on Tuesday due to unspecified issues. The bank had come under the lens of the RBI for problems with its services. “Please note that the issues with the mobile banking app are now resolved.
