The State Bank of India (SBI) YONO online banking and mobile app will be affected late at night on August 6 and one hour on August 7 due to maintenance work. The bank announced it on Twitter on Wednesday, saying the downtime is expected to last 150 minutes.
“We will be undertaking maintenance activities between 22:45 on 06.08.2021 and 01:15 on 07.08.2021 (150 minutes). During this period Internet Banking/YONO/YONO Lite/YONO Business will not be available. We regret the inconvenience caused and ask that you bear with us,” read the notice posted by SBI on Twitter.
This is the fifth time in two months that maintenance work has hit the public bank’s digital banking services. However, the exercise he undertook late at night to ensure the least number of customers were impacted.
The combined user base of bank customers who use Internet banking, YONO and UPI is 250 million.
The bank on Wednesday announced a 55.25% increase in its after-tax autonomous profit to ₹6,504 crores for the quarter ended June, helped by lower bad debt provisions and higher non-interest income.
The lender’s own-source after-tax profit amounted to ₹4,189 crores in the same quarter of the prior year.
On a consolidated basis, profit after tax amounts to ₹7,539.22 crores, against ₹5,203.49 crores in the prior year quarter.
“The bank did well on most metrics. On net profit, the figure was around ₹6,500 crores, an increase of 55.25% on an annual basis and the highest quarterly profit recorded by the bank since the year 2008.
“In terms of asset quality as well, I’m happy with the outcome,” SBI Chairman Dinesh Khara told reporters.
Net interest income (NII) increased by 3.74% for ₹27,638 crore against ₹26,642 crore in Q1 FY21.
